Who we are
Local, hands-on, and on the job ourselves.
We are based in Princeville, IL, in Peoria County. The people in the photographs on this site are the people who will show up at your place.
That is not a slogan, it is just the size of the operation. There is no sales department here and nobody subcontracts your driveway to a crew you have never met. You call the number, you talk to us, we come and look at it, and then we do the work.
What we care about is fairly narrow: driveways, private lanes and lots. Grading them, laying tar and chip on them, sealing them, filling their cracks and patching them. We would rather be good at that than be available for everything.
How we work
Three things we will not shortcut.
None of it is complicated. It is just the part that costs time, which is why it is also the part that gets skipped.
The base comes first
Grading, shaping and compacting before anything goes over the top. A surface treatment cannot correct a base that is the wrong shape — it copies it.
Cracks and holes before coatings
We pre-patch before tar and chip and we fill cracks before sealer. Coating over a defect just hides it until the next thaw.
Two layers on tar and chip
Not one. The first keys into the base and the second closes the surface up. It is the part customers cannot see once it is finished, so it is the easiest thing to leave off.
Our own equipment on site
Loader, dump trailer, grading machine, plate compactor and chip and seal gear. We are not waiting on a rental yard to decide when your job happens.

Peoria County and around it.
We are in Princeville, 61559. Peoria County is home ground, and we travel out from there.
Recent work includes a half-mile private lane over in Germantown Hills. Rural lanes and long drives are a good part of what we do, so distance is usually less of a problem than people expect.
